INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Install tubing and fittings so that there are no points of stress on the tank. Use elbows to prevent partial bending or collapsing of the tubing when a change in direction is required. Plastic tank connections are designed to seal dry. Compounds such as sealants, pipe dopes, greases, petroleum jellies, glues or adhesives are not to be used. Normally, hand tightening will provide adequate seal. On occasion, a slight tightening with a wrench may be required. To avoid damage to seal and fittings, do not apply excessive force. Do not exceed Y4 turn after hand tightening. Do not install metal fittings in the plastic tank as the materials are not compatible. THREAD SEALANT TEFLON TAPE RECOMMENDED. Should you desire to test the potable water tank or water system for leaks, fill with water and check visually. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SANITIZING POTABLE WATER SYSTEMS (2) Complete filling of tank with fresh water. Open each faucet and drain cock until all air has been released and entire system is filled. (3) Allow to stand for three hours. (5) To remove excessive chlorine taste or odor which might remain, prepare a solution of one quart vinegar to five gallons of water and allow this solution to agitate in tank for several days by vehicle motion. (6) Drain tank again and flush with potable water. (IMPORTANT) The above recommendations conform to Section 10.8 in the A1 19.2 code covering electrical, plumbing and heating of a recreational vehicle. The solution is approved and recommended by competent health officials
LIMITED WARRANTY Ardemco warrants to the Purchaser of the product and related parts to which this warranty relates (the " Unit") that Ardemco will, as set forth below, repair or furnish a replacement Unit and any related parts furnished by Ardemco in the event of a failure of the Unit, which failure is found by Ardemco to have occurred in normal use and service. Such repair or replacement will be made at the original place of sale, within the applicable periods specified, because of any factory defect in material or workmanship. The replacement or repair will be warranted for only the unexpired portion of the original warranty, however, the original warranty period will be extended to correspond with any period of loss of use of the Unit in excess of SEVEN (7) days, following the notification of claim to Ardemco. THE UNIT If the Unit or its parts provided by Ardemco fail within one (1) year after the date of the sale by Ardemco, Ardemco will make the necessary repairs or furnish a new replacement Unit or part THESE WARRANTIES WILL NOT APPLY: (A.) to defects or malfunctions resulting from failure to properly
install, secure, use or maintain the Unit and parts in accordance
with the printed instructions provided; CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE: Ardemco shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal property in or near the Unit or other consequential damage to the extent such damages are excluded under applicable state law. No responsibility is assumed for loss of use of the Unit or inconvenience. SERVICE LABOR RESPONSIBILITY In making repairs or furnishing replacement, Ardemco assumes no responsibility for any labor expenses for service, removal, or reinstallation. Such costs are the responsibility of the Purchaser. SHIPPING COSTS If an in-warranty Unit failure occurs, Ardemco will be responsible for transportation costs for the replacement to a convenient delivery point selected by it near the place the Unit was first delivered by Ardemco. Purchaser will be responsible for any local cartage, including the cost of returning the replaced item to the place it was first delivered. HOW TO MAKE CLAIM Any claim under this warranty should be made to the place of purchase. MISCELLANEOUS No one is authorized to make any other warranties on Ardemco's behalf. Any implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, shall not, with respect to the Unit, extend beyond one(l) year from the date of sale by Ardemco. PRICES, DISCOUNTS AND FREIGHT ALLOWANCES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
