This is one of a kind GMC Motorhome.
VIN Number TZE033V100828 built 5/8/1973, we are the 5th owner. The 23 foot model is kind of rare since only 1700 were built between 1973 and 1978.
Health issues force sale.
This motorhome starts immediately and is very dependable.
Unit had been restored ($43,000) shortly before we purchased (July 2003) it, and then in 2005 we began updating it.
Rear bed, side bath, awning, Alcoa LST wheels, and Flexsteel seats.
You must see this motorhome to fully appreciate it.
The following items have either been replaced with new, or rebuilt in the last 16,000 miles (since 2005):
Mechanical/Electrical:
1. NEW engine with a EFI 8.1 (496 cu. in.) Marine Vortex Chevrolet engine with larger engine oil cooler (includes NEW water pump, ac compressor, alt. and power steering pump) with headers, and remote large capacity oil filter. (Less than 9,000 miles)

2. NEW marine 2 door refrigerator (compressor type)

4. NEW convection/microwave oven.
5. NEW 15,000 btu roof air with 1500 watt heat strip.
6. NEW 22,000 btu basement air.
7. NEW 22,000 aux air conditioner (runs off engine) under kitchen counter with outlets in back to cool bedroom along with outlets in living space has hot water (engine heat) heater for winter. Installed by TMO Custom Rod Air (6/29/2005)

Much of the rewiring, cabinet mounting, 4 bag suspension, tru-track, brake work, and redo of the interior was done by the Cooperative Motor Works in Orlando, FL (4/29/2005), the aluminum work was done by Lockhart Metal works in Austin, Texas (over several months in 2005), the engine conversion and transmission was done by Dyno Services, Inc in Sequim, Washington (8/22/2005)
We have all manuals and parts books as well as some specialty items that go with the Motorhome.

* I have had several people ask about the lack of a cook top and oven. My wife and I thought long and hard about it and after camping several times decided we could use an electric skillet, crock pot, electric sauce pan and a convection oven. Our first MH was a Winnebago 36 foot and we always carried an electric skillet and we have a convection oven in our home so this was a pretty straight forward decision. My wife has baked biscuits, pies, and cookies in the convection/microwave oven since it bakes as well as microwaves. Not having a cook top and gas oven gave us room for a convection microwave oven, more counter space, and an ice maker. It also allowed us the ability to remove the propane tank and use that space for basement storage; it also removed the weight of the tank, valves, and propane.
* I have been asked about the lack of a pod on the roof and a roof ladder. I did not want a pod - could have gotten one and a roof rack easily enough – because they add weight and makes the coach more top heavy. When I designed the cabinets I increased the size slightly both in height and depth and added a shelf in each of them. I was able to do this since they are powder coated aluminum and weigh much less – an added feature is this also reduces the top weight. I then added shelves in the bedroom and over the door. With the propane tank removed and the space under the couch for storage we get along great. I also use a hitch rack and carry a smoker, grill, and an ammo box with charcoal and wood chips along with lighter fluid because we BBQ and grill a lot.
